Rider + Reinke Financial Group History

Rider + Reinke Financial Group has been serving the central Ohio community (and beyond!) for 70+ years. Paul Rider, a MassMutual* career agent, was the founder of the original firm, Rider Financial Group. After working out of his home office for several years, Paul rented office space near the firm’s current location at 4094 Main Street in the charming downtown area of Hilliard. He later bought a building two doors down and renovated the older two-story home to serve as the firm’s office. His son, Scott, joined the firm in 1987, and with his father’s blessing, purchased the business over a 5-year period so that Paul could enjoy his hard-earned retirement years.

Scott Rider became a top producer for MassMutual and remains a well-known businessman in both the local and national communities, as he has been a preferred speaker at several Mass Mutual agencies throughout the continental United States. To better serve the company’s ever-growing clientele, Scott invited Christopher Reinke to join the firm in 2006. As a client himself, Chris wanted to be a part of a leading financial services company in central Ohio, and his goal has always been to provide the same level of quality service, responsiveness, and dedication he received from Scott Rider and his staff for over 10 years. Chris became a partner in 2013, and the firm’s name was changed to Rider + Reinke Financial Group.

Scott Rider retired in 2017 and now resides in Beaufort, SC. The foundation laid by Paul and Scott Rider sustains the company today. Our reputation thrives on high-level customer service, with a commitment to integrity and transparency.
